SmartEyes are small pieces of technology that fit over a person's left eye. They allow people in the Pods to access Realms, virtual realities in which they can do anything they want.

SmartEyes are small clear patches that fit over the user's left eye. Perry described it as being "Velvety as a mushroom. Denser than he'd expected for looking so much like a jellyfish."[1]
Use[]
Smart eyes allow people to access the Realms. But they can also record, and store information such as the time and location.
